The American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting®, also known as ABAM, provides an excellent opportunity for an international clinical exchange of knowledge in aesthetic surgery discussion of the current socioeconomic conditions and how they affect plastic surgery communities in the United States, Brazil and the rest of the world. It also serves as a new forum for residents, fellows, and colleagues in private practice worldwide to present their innovative work in the United States with possible publication in the ISAPS and ASAPS Scientific Journals. All in a very nice relaxing atmosphere in the majestic snowy mountains of Park City, USA.
“ABAM transcends the ‘aesthetic conference’ by giving the most innovative voices in plastic surgery & other core aesthetic specialties a platform to shift what we think of as possible in ways that benefit our doctors, their practices, and their patients.”
—ABAM Founder Dr. Renato Saltz

ABAM is a non-profit educational event. The goal is to combine science with fun through friendship and collegiality. This collaborative environment inspires, entertains, educates, and improves the lives of doctors, their patients, and the employees they support through their practices. Many of us have made career-long friendships that began at ABAM.
Take a look back through the years at some of the unforgettable moments we’ve shared together at the American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting.
For Dr. Renato Saltz, ABAM began as a way to broaden collaboration between surgeons in the United States and Brazil, while improving the lives of patients in both countries. Now, it attracts aesthetic providers from all over the world.
Since then, ABAM has evolved into one of the most vibrant and important international gatherings in the plastic surgery space. Surgeons from the United States, Brazil, and more than 60 other countries converge on Park City, Utah, to share their innovations and learn from one another in a fun, collaborative environment. As a leader, educator, and innovator in the plastic surgery space, Dr. Saltz continues to oversee the development and growth of ABAM as a way to improve the visibility and effectiveness of plastic surgery worldwide.
Utah is undeniably one of the best places in the world to satisfy all your snow holiday cravings, thanks to its light and fluffy snow (which was actually proven to be The Greatest Snow on Earth®), its easy access to uncrowded mountains, its spectacular scenery of expansive open vistas, and its historic ski towns full of fun.
At the American Brazilian Aesthetics Meeting, emerging physicians are given a chance to shine before a national audience. New concepts and procedures from all over the world are brought together for attendees to discuss and review. ABAM takes great pleasure in its ability to identify and promote individuals who will become international leaders in cosmetic surgery. Here, inspiring medical professionals speak publicly in front of industry leaders and get international recognition for their original and cutting-edge ideas.
While known worldwide for skiing, Park City is a multigenerational family-friendly destination, offering something for everyone, big and small. The Kimball Art Center offers daily art lessons where you may discover pottery, painting, textiles, and even glass-making classes for your family.
All meeting profits will be donated to the Image Reborn Foundation of Utah to support Breast Cancer Survivors.
IRF is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that provides no-cost three-day retreats to women with breast cancer in the beautiful mountains of Park City. Women with a history of breast cancer are welcome to attend the Image Reborn Foundation's healing retreats at no cost. Dr. Renato Saltz launched the Image Reborn Foundation in 1998. He hosted its inaugural retreat in 1999 after seeing that women with cancer receive excellent medical treatment for the physical aspects of their disease but often have their complicated emotional needs ignored.
Professionals at Image Reborn have extensive expertise catering to the unique needs of breast cancer patients, and they use that knowledge to develop and lead the rejuvenation retreat program. Each retreat is unique, but they all aim to offer a place of informal support and rejuvenation. The Image Reborn Foundation offers an average of 26 no-cost weekend retreats (3 days) per year to breast cancer survivors in Park City and St. George, Utah, in Colorado and soon in Houston, Texas. Since its conception, ABAM has donated over half-million dollars to the Image Reborn Foundation.
